Longtime Aussie employee Michael Sirianni has taken over the summertime favorite, and turned it into BUZZ, a coffee/sandwich/awesomeness stop, which will have its soft open Monday, April 25.
“It’s still owned by the Aussie, but operated by me,” Sirianni says. “We’re going to do pretty much all the same breakfast things Aussie had when they ran this, with the addition of some new items.”
The egg sandwiches will return, with yogurt available in the warmer months, and oatmeal in the fall. But what’s the difference? Lunch. Sandwiches, quiche, soup, hummus.
“All that kind of stuff that’s quick, and people can eat at their desk,” Sirianni says.
And even better than that – customers can order ahead by calling, texting and emailing their orders. Just text or call 559-BUZZ, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Raised in the restaurant business, Sirianni associates BUZZ closely with his family.
“I was partially raised by my grandfather, and [Buzz] is his name,” Sirianni says.
The coffee to be served at BUZZ is brewed by The Gerhart Coffee Company, which will be free to customers on from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 23. The restaurant has its own special blend called 10/19, which is not only his grandfather’s birthday, but Sirianni’s wedding anniversary as well. Are you swooning yet?
Odd Pies will also participate in the Saturday event by serving pastries.
The future for BUZZ? Beer, maybe? Sirianni says that’s in the works.
“This whole concept, when I came up with it, was like – I’m qualified to have a cafe, but if I could run a business, it would be, like, a rock ‘n’ roll circus,” Sirianni says. “So, if I can find a way to run a cafe and rock ‘n’ roll circus, let me do that.”
