Release date: February 27
Director: Glenn Ficarra and John Requa
Cast: Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Rodrigo Santoro, B.D. Wong

I love a good con-man movie. Matchstick Men is probably my favorite. I think this one has potential. Focus stars a noticeably subdued Will Smith as Nicky Spurgeon, a veteran con man with a crew of skilled hustlers. When Nicky welcomes a sexy swindler named Jess (Robbie) into the fold, she quickly becomes his most talented protégé. When Nicky and Jess’ relationship crosses the line between business and pleasure, Nicky cuts her lose. That is, until they both show up in Argentina working the same con on a billionaire race car owner (Santoro).

Release date: February 27
Director: David Gelb
Cast: Olivia Wilde, Mark Duplass, Evan Peters, Sarah Bolger

Zoe (Wilde) and Frank (Duplass) have created a serum that just might be able to bring the dead back to life. After failing to resurrect John Travolta’s career, the team begins experimenting on animals and successfully reanimates a dearly departed dog. When a lab accident suddenly kills Zoe, Frank hastily decides to use the Lazarus serum to save her, but soon discovers that something about her is… different. Was she always able to movie things with her mind? Were her eyes always an icy black color? Did she always kill people? It’s hard to say. Women be crazy, am I right?

David Onda is Fly Magazine's movie guy. He is an entertainment writer for a national outlet. He's attended and covered the Academy Awards on several (well, 3) occasions for a national outlet. He once made Quentin Tarantino laugh. He has shared an elevator with Bruce Willis, sat in John Waters' living room and has flown in the same airplane as Joan Rivers.
