Website: topfivemovie.com

Andre Allen (Rock) is one of the greatest comedians of all time and star of the popular buddy cop film series Hammy the Bear, which follows a cop and his crime-fighting bear sidekick. Tired of the same ol’ schtick, Allen aims to reinvent himself as a “serious” actor, but the funnyman’s plans hit a snag when his upcoming televised wedding with reality TV star Erica Long (Union) threatens to land him on Hollywood’s D List. Amid the media frenzy, Allen meets feisty New Yorker reporter Chelsea Brown (Dawson), who has the actor rethinking the choices he’s made for his career and life.

EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS

Release date: December 12
Director: Ridley Scott
Cast: Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, John Turturro, Ben Kingsley
Website: exodusgodsandkings.com

Gladiator director Ridley Scott helms this Bible epic based on the Book of Exodus. For those of you who haven’t seen the 1998 classic The Prince of Egypt, baby Moses was a Hebrew raised by the Egyptian royal family after his mother sent him floating down the Nile to save him from the Pharaoh’s mass murder of newborn Hebrew boys. As an adult, Moses (Bale) learned of his heritage and faced off with his “brother” – Ramesses II (Edgerton) – over the enslavement of Israelites in Egypt. After warning the ruler of God’s Ten Plagues, Moses lead his people out of Egypt and across the Red Sea. That’s the movie.
