Three picks for what to do in Central PA on Tuesday, August 25.
1) The Defibulators at The Millworks (Harrisburg)
You’ve gotta respect a band that was named one of VICE’s top emerging Brooklyn bands… but then, the Defibulators must’ve made the folks at VICE’s job easy. The Defibulators blend country and Americana with just a dash of good old New York cynicism. What’s even better than that? Tonight, at the Millworks, the Defibulators are playing, and the show is free. Be there at 9:00 p.m.
2) Justin Hayward with Mike Dawes at the Whitaker Center (Harrisburg)
Come on, like you’re gonna pass up a chance to see the guitarist of The Moody Blues in person. Almost half a century of experience making sweet, sweet music has honed his guitar skills to a razor’s edge. Hurry, though – scant few “>tickets are left as of press time. They range from $44.50-59.50. Boogie on.
3) Open Mic with Bisz Beats at 551 West (Lancaster)
Lastly, but certainly not least – if you want to make some music of your own, head over to 551 West in Lancaster. They’re hosting an open mic night this evening with Bisz Beats. The music starts at 8 p.m.
