Three picks for what to do in Central PA on Tuesday, June 9.
1) Merchandise at The Millworks (Harrisburg)
This evening, if you’re up for some music that’s absolutely unable to be categorized, head over to the Millworks. This 10 p.m. show is free and features two circuit regulars. Local band The Bird Reserve will be opening for part-punk, part-rock, part-indie, part-God-knows-what-but-whatever-this-is-it’s-good band Merchandise.
2) Psychic John Edward (Harrisburg)
If you’re a hardcore skeptic or a diehard (pun entirely intended) believer, you might find John Edward’s show interesting. He’s appeared on Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, and several other doctor and non-doctor-related stops on the talk show circuit. His show at the Whitaker Center runs from 7 – 9 p.m. Tickets will run you from $150 – 225, but even with those hefty prices, they’re selling fast. There were still a few seats left at the time this was published, but if you’re interested, you better hurry.
3) Brendee’s Irish Pub: 10th Anniversary (Lancaster)
The owners of Brendee’s Irish Pub on 449 W. Lemon Street are celebrating their tenth anniversary running the local nightspot. You may know it for its Irish nachos, its fried pickles, its 19 beers on tap, or its excellent selection of whiskey. Regardless, chances are there’s something for you at Brendee’s – especially tonight. They’re open from 11 a.m – 2 p.m., but stop by today from 4:30 p.m. – 12 a.m. for their full menu… as well as giveaways, food and drink specials, and what promises to be one hell of an anniversary party.
