Three picks for what to do in Central PA on Thursday, June 18.
1) Desoto Rust (Hershey)
The Hershey Farmer’s Market’s free concert series continues tonight 6 – 8 p.m. with Desoto Rust, a Delaware County-based band that’s coming to Hershey and bringing their own unique take on rock with them. Not quite Americana, not quite country, their roots rock is a new experience for many people, and it’s well worth exploring. Be sure to check ‘em out if you’re in the area tonight.
2) Bullfrog Brewery Tap Takeover at Hunger-N-Thirst (Lancaster)
Sour beer lovers better scurry on over to the Bullfrog Brewery Tap Takeover at Hunger-N-Thirst at 5 p.m. tonight. There’ll be eight awesome brews on tap, including Le Roar Plum and Funny Farmhouse Cider Black-n-Blue. And what the hell – you might as well check out the empanadas while you’re there. What’s a little beer without some high-class bar food?
3) Stan & Wes Hoke at the Sand Trap Bar & Grille (Mechanicsburg)
The Sand Trap Bar & Grille is always a good bet for dinner – their sandwiches are astronomical and their crab pretzel appetizer is, as the kids say, hella. Sometimes, like tonight, they like to sweeten the deal with a little live music. Sound up your alley? Good deal. Drop in at around 6:30 to hear the dulcet tones of duo Stan and Wes Hoke.
Want more? You don’t have to wait ’til 3 p.m. to check out FLY’s live music, bar entertainment and performing arts calendars.
