Three picks for what to do in Central PA on Thursday, July 16.
1) Galactic Cowboy Orchestra at the Farmer’s Market in Hershey (Hershey)
The Farmer’s Market in Hershey will welcome the latest edition of its free concert series from 6-8p.m. this evening. This time around, the fabulously-named art-rock groovers of The Galactic Cowboy Orchestra will be laying down some jams. Part Bela Fleck, part Jeff Beck, their music is a perfect pairing with a mild summer night. Grab some farm-fresh food and enjoy the tunes!
2) Girls Pint Out Meetup at Tellus360 (Lancaster)
If you’re of the babely persuasion and enjoy craft beer and laughs, the Susquehanna Valley chapter of Girls Pint Out is hosting a chapter meeting at Tellus360. There’s no fancy forms or waiting process to become a member – and no pressure to join, by the way – just show up at Tellus around 7p.m. and order up a brew. This particular meetup is sponsored by The Beer Ace and the Starr Hill Brewery.
3) Shine Delphi atZeroday (Harrisburg)
Shine Delphi’s bringing his folksy blend of slide guitar, harmonica, and ragtime-reminiscent vocals to Zeroday from 6-8p.m. and you can hear it for free. Have one of their fancy artisan cocktails and enjoy the jams. If you get hungry, enjoy some food truck fare. The Chicken Truck will be bringing its cluckin’ good fare.
