No dinner plans for the weekend yet? Don’t bother making ’em. There are plenty of food-focused events going down on Saturday and Sunday, so prepare your appetites accordingly…

Lobster Bake at Roosevelt Tavern (York)

Now in its fourth year, the annual crustacean chow-down at Roosevelt Tavern (50 N. Penn St., York) is going down on Saturday from 12-9 p.m. But if you plan on going, you gotta act fast – reservations and lobster orders must be made by Thursday (call 717-854-7725, ext. 104).

Crabfest Wine & Beer Fest at SpringGate (Harrisburg)

When SpringGate (5790 Devonshire Rd., Harrisburg) debuted Crabfest last year, it was just a winery. On Saturday, however, the second annual Crabfest will also put the spotlight on SpringGate’s new craft beer arm in addition to its array of wines. And crabs. And live music. The event runs from 4-11 p.m., featuring crab-inspired dishes from a variety of local food trucks and vendors (including Harrisburg’s ChickenTruck, dubbed “CrabTruck” for the day). Live music starts at 5 p.m. with Mountain Road. No reservations are required.

Bacon & Brew Ha Ha at Appalachian Brewing Co. (Harrisburg)

In recent years, it’s become abundantly clear that Americans have a seemingly undying love for two things: bacon and craft beer. The 3rd annual Bacon & Brew Ha Ha returns to the Abbey Bar at Appalachian Brewing Co. (50 N. Cameron St., Harrisburg) on Sunday, offering a one-stop-shop to sample distinctive bacon-ified culinary creations alongside a variety of homebrewed beers. Doors open at 12 p.m. and tickets are $30 if you plan to sample the food and brews (must be 21+, duh), or $15 if you don’t plan to sample. Why would you do that? Because the event is a fundraiser for Elliott’s New Wheels. Also, because a room filled with bacon is quite possibly worth the cost of admission.

Ice Cream Social at note. (Harrisburg)

The Midtown Harrisburg wine bar note. is ringing in its first year of business with an ice cream social on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. Don a summer dress or some seersucker as you fill your Sunday with a relaxing round of ice cream, ragtime music, wine, cocktails and conversation.
