“They’re here.” This remake of Steven Spielberg’s terrifying 1982 horror classic reimagines the tale of a suburban California family whose new home is invaded by vicious ghosts and spirits. The escalation of bizarre incidents within the house reaches a breaking point when the family’s youngest daughter (Kennedi Clements) is kidnapped by the apparition. With nowhere else to turn, parents Eric (Rockwell) and Amy (DeWitt) enlist the help of a spiritual medium (Harris) to bring their child back from the netherworld. This movie is produced by the filmmakers behind Evil Dead (Sam Raimi) and The Ring (Roy Lee).

TOMORROWLAND

Release date: May 22
Director: Brad Bird
Cast: George Clooney, Britt Robertson, Hugh Laurie, Tim McGraw
Website: movies.disney.com/tomorrowland

Details of this live-action Disney film have been a closely guarded secret, but the Mouse House seems to have shown its hand with a little-seen international trailer. The film apparently supposes that Walt Disney was a member of a group of the world’s most celebrated geniuses, and that they all joined forces to create the an ideal society. The Disneyland theme park Tomorrowland was a cover for this futuristic world that exists in a realm beyond. Today, that world is in danger, and a troubled young science whiz (Robertson) joins forces with an aging inventor (Clooney) to save Walt Disney’s dreams for the future.
