Things you should do this weekend

It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in the neighborhood, kiddies. Here are our picks to get out of the house, starting tonight.

Thursday: Foragers cocktail party and pop-up shop

Support your local booze makers and vendors with this fun event. Lancaster Farmacy and Forager Company will use Thistle Finch products to make killer cocktails, and Michelle Johnsen Photography, Blumen floral design, Lancaster Farmacy and Forager Co. will all be selling things. Head to Thistle Finch Distillery from 6-10 p.m. tonight.

Saturday: Yoga

Start your weekend off in complete zen with any one of these outdoor yoga sessions. The Pressroom Restaurant and Tellus360 both have morning classes, but there are others scattered around Central PA. Find which works best for you, and remember to stretch.

Saturday: Strawberry Festival

A family-friendly event for a beautiful day at Brecknock Orchard. Take the kids outdoors for free hayrides and activities, while you make your own chocolate-covered strawberries and taste a SIX FOOT strawberry shortcake. Shady Maple will serve lunch, and there’ll even be slushies. Day. Made. The fun begins at 8 a.m.

Saturday: Music in the Orchard

The 2016 Music in the Orchard series kicks off at Hans Herr House with Vinegar Creek Constituency and Sopa Sol. Kids younger than 12 get in free, and it’s only $8 for adults. Make sure to bring your blankets and lawn chairs at 6 p.m., and enjoy a beauteous night with fantabulous artists.
