The Wild Reeds stop at the Millworks

Considering that they hail from the sunny, smoggy land of Los Angeles, you might expect The Wild Reeds to play some surfer rock or that particular kind of dream pop that’s currently floating over from the West Coast. In actuality, the band likes to genre-hop from country to folk and back to home base again. They base their sound not around a genre, but around the incredible talent of the core trio: Sharon Silva, Kinsey Lee, and Mackenzie “Mack” Howe’s harmonies provide the keystone for Nick Phakpiseth and Nick Jones’ musical stylings. Starting with their 2014 release “Blind and Brave,” their style has become more complex, but the heart of it remains the same – solid harmonies and melodies. Check it:

The Wild Reeds are currently on a nationwide tour. Tonight, October 22, they’re making a stop at the Millworks in Harrisburg. To top it all off, the show is free, and the music starts playing at 10 p.m.
