Take Me Out: New bands & beer series debuts at Clipper Stadium

Peanuts and crackerjacks may have been all that baseball fans of yesteryear needed, but these days, the gameday experience at America’s pastime seems to demand more. On Thursday, Lancaster-based events company Homespun Lancaster will debut a new partnership with the Lancaster Barnstormers to help meet those evolving needs.

The #TAKEMEOUT series is brought to you by the letter “B”: bands, beer, burgers and baseball. The pre-game series is slated to span throughout the summer at Clipper Stadium’s new Local Flavor Bar and Grill in right field, with bluesy Harrisburg-based band Shawan and The Wonton kicking off the series Thursday night from 6-7 p.m. before the Barnstormers host the Somerset Patriots. Tickets are $12 – they must be purchased here – and get you access to the music, $2 beers and buy-one-get-one burgers (all in addition to a seat for the game, of course).

Future #TAKEMEOUT dates haven’t been announced yet, but Homespun’s organizers have confirmed that performances by indie-rockers Ton Taun, alt-country/Americana outfit Slimfit and rock-n-Rhodes trio Younger Me are all on their way. Follow Homespun Lancaster’s Facebook page for future concert announcements.
