Sunday A.M. Radio: Svid Vor's "layers."

Lancasphere Sound Collective member, Svid Vor is kicking off 2016 by releasing a brand new ambient track called “layers.”  The track opens with a slow, dark drum and bass groove and builds with a beautiful synth riff before entering an ominous tunnel of static noise. The track is almost crushed under the weight of noise, but the gorgeous synth riff remains underneath throughout the section and comes through the other side, making a perfect minimalist resolution to the song. It reminded me of my favorite parts of Aphex Twin. Dark and disturbing, while somehow remaining completely warm, fuzzy and melodic. Not an easy thing to do.

Happy New Year! To start 2016 off, the collectives very own svid vor released a new track yesterday called “layers.”…
