Sunday A.M. Radio: Goes to the Beach

It’s freezing outside. You’re not going anywhere. One good thing about being stuck inside though – it affords you some time for some much needed relaxation. Sunday mornings + winter snowstorms are the perfect time to find some peace and quiet. One thing that I’ve tried to do more of recently is find time for some meditation. It’s a great way to unwind from the stress of daily life. Best of all, it’s a great way to relax that doesn’t come with a blinding hangover afterwards. (And if you went too hard last night and you do happen have a hangover, meditation is a great way to cure it.)

Usually, I recommend making yourself a hot cup of coffee while you listen to music, but meditation works best right after you wake up or before you go to bed when your body is ready to relax, so save the coffee for afterward. Let’s escape from the stress of life and the winter weather by listening to (and maybe meditating to) the spaced-out synth sounds of Cool Maritime’s “Tunnels” and staring at this tranquil view of the beach.

Did you reach nirvana? Are you floating two inches off the ground? Maybe you’re just ready for that coffee and some breakfast. Keep the beach vibe going with this awesome mash-up of The Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds and J Dilla, and stay warm.

Need more inside stuff to do? Check out this list of ideas and stay warm.
