The Vineyard at Hershey keeps the patriotic spirit of last weekend’s Fourth of July festivities going with an all-day salute to the troops on July 11 from 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. As usual, The Vineyard at Hershey goes all out with everything you could want in a summer party: live music, food trucks, beer and wine, games, art vendors, a bonfire and a silent auction to benefit two military charities that give aid to soldiers with PTSD. It’s sure to be a great event for a great cause.
Strawberries are the stars of the show on Saturday. The Vineyard and Brewery at Hershey releases two strawberry-inspired drinks – Sparkling Strawberry Wine and Strawberry IPA. Raise a glass (or five or six) to the troops. Guests can also enjoy food from various food trucks (or bring their own food, but not drinks) and bring a blanket and chairs and enjoy a picnic on the lawn between the vines and the pond. The Vineyard’s own Merlot Mike will be patrolling the grounds to determine who has the best picnic set-up and the winners will receive all-access passes to the Vineyard’s signature Merlot Day party in September. The Vineyard at Hershey ramped things up even further for this event by installing a brand new stage in front of the pond.
The music kicks off with the Sabrina Duke Duo at 12:30 p.m., followed by Not Quite Einstein at 3 p.m. A special announcement from 5-5:30 p.m. precedes Green River – the Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band – who will close out the festival. And guests can get down and dance in the glow of the bonfire during their set. Celebrate the summer, the soldiers and strawberries on Saturday.
