Single File to close down

Well, that didn’t last long. Lancaster’s most recent DIY venue Single File was declared closed by co-operator Brandon Gepfer (of Spill) last night without much fanfare. The concert venue had a somewhat tumultuous history since it opened earlier this year. In April, the bathroom was trashed by rowdy concert-goers. Also in April, local superstars on the rise The Districts played most of a secret set at the venue before the cops shut it down.

According to Gepfer’s Facebook post, all shows that were set to take place at Single File will be moved to the Chameleon Club and the Facebook page itself will be used for future shows Gepfer books in the area. Pour out a little PBR, we lost one of the good ones today.

Here’s a list of upcoming shows that will now be at the Chameleon Club:

6/30 Cayetana // Reservoir // Meg and the Right Sound // Weller
7/15 Jawws // High Heels // Nominee // Shapes We Make
7/19 Speedy Ortiz // Spill // The Ok-Ok’s // The Mellowells
8/2 ORBS // Ivadell // TBA
8/17 Black Mask // False Light // Discomfort // High Water // TBA
8/25 Slowtalker // Bitter Taste // Dead Scouts // Disappoint
