Going out this weekend? Here’s what’s on our radar for Friday night:
Spring Gate Vineyard one-year anniversary
Spring Gate Vineyard in Harrisburg is celebrating its one-year anniversary today with tastings of all six of their featured wines, live music and, like any good anniversary party, cake. The party starts at 12pm and goes all day long until 10pm.
Three-Legged Bar Crawl in Lancaster
Barrel O’ Monkeys Productions presents a charity bar crawl in downtown Lancaster starting at 2pm. True to its name, the three-legged crawl requires that participants partner up and tie one leg together as you hit Annie Bailey’s, Tellus360, Penn Square Grill at the Marriott, Yorgos and end a Federal Taphouse. Why three legs? The event is a fundraiser for the Humane League of Lancaster and is in honor of the official “mascot”, Daffodil. Tickets are $10.
Brewer’s dinner at FenderZ in York
Pool trick shot show with “Venom” in York
The York APA pool league welcomes professional pool trick shooter Florian “Venom” Kohler tonight at the Red Rose Restaurant & Lounge in Hellam. The show starts at 8pm and is free for any APA members or just $5 for non-members. Here’s a look at what’s in store (no promises that the lovely assistant will be on hand, however…):
Bullride Mania at PA Farm Show
Live bull ridin’, steer wrestlin’, mutton bustin’ action returns to Harrisburg as Bullride Mania once again comes to the Farm Show Complex. The action starts at 7:30pm and includes a musical performance by country pop star Austin Webb.
Alien Ant Farm at Tubby’s in Duncannon
Catch alternative rockers Alien Ant Farm alongside punk rockers Head PE tonight at Tubby’s. The bill is rounded out by some local talent including Small Town Titans from York. Doors open at 7:30pm with music starting at 8pm. Tickets are $20 at the door. More info here. Remember Alien Ant Farm’s cover of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal”?
YorVoice competition in York
Cultural Alliance of York County presents YorVoice at the Strand-Capitol tonight. The competition features 13 teams of musicians battling it out in an effort to showcase local talent, while raising money for the Cultural Alliance. A panel of judges includes DaNica Shirey, a local celebrity who competed on last year’s season of “The Voice.” Doors open at 7:30pm and tickets are $20.
