Rihanna premieres collaboration with Drake, "Work"

It seems like Anti might finally be coming. Rihanna’s long-gestating eighth album will allegedly be out by the end of this week, per Billboard yesterday. Singles from the album have dropped sporadically over the last year, with ho-hum jams like “American Oxygen” and the Kanye West and Paul McCartney collaboration “FourFiveSeconds” dropping in April and January, respectively. “Bitch Better Have My Money,” a single supposedly indicative of the sound of Anti, dropped in March.

Bizarrely, Rihanna announced the new “Work” as the “first” single from the album on her Twitter account, so it’s possible that she’s taking the recent Kanye West route and dropping random songs that won’t actually make the album. Regardless, “Work” sounds like old Rihanna and features Drake so you’ll be hearing about it all day. The release is *technically* a Tidal-exclusive (cue “Mean Girls”-style “Stop trying to make Tidal happen!”) but listen to the song on Pitchfork
