It’s never to early to start planning your St. Patty’s day festivities.This St. Patty’s weekend, make a point to check out some local craft breweries and wineries at the first-ever Perry St. Patty’s Party beer and wine festival on March 19 from 3-8 p.m. at the Perry County Fairgrounds.
The festival benefits the Newport Lions Club and features more than a half dozen local breweries and wineries including Tattered Flag Brewery and Spring Gate (pulling double duty by offering both beer and wine). Acoustic music takes place on the winery side of the festival and the WQLV 98.9 Sound Machine covers the music on the beer side.
Tickets are $15 in advance (or $10 each when purchased in blocks of 10 or more) and $25 at the door and can be purchased through the WQLV Facebook page or by phone at 692-WQLV or by emailing Scott Zellers at email@example.com.
Participating breweries and wineries include: Appalachian Brewing Company, Boneshire Brew Works, Market Cross Pub, Molly Pitcher Brewing Company, Rusty Nail Brewing Company, Spring Gate Brewery, Tattered Flag Brewery, Hunter’s Valley, Olivero’s, Broad Mountain, Red Shale Ridge and Spring Gate Winery.
