Know what feels good? How about indulging in delicious local cuisine and homegrown music, all for a good cause?
The Chameleon Club in Lancaster hosts the first annual Penny-PA-Looza on Saturday night. The event is a benefit for the Clare House – a non-profit housing structure for women and children who are down on their luck. Co-sponsored by Penny Dutch (a Lancaster-based clothing and creative house) and Jack Daniels (a sort of popular brand of whiskey), the event takes over the Chameleon’s three floors, five bars and two stages with live music, food vendors, art exhibits and a silent auction.
The music roster consists of: Hiding Scarlet, Lor, Zac Roth, DJ Driscoll, Worthy Adversary, Dylan Jane, Crescent Moon and Voice N Barz. Also featured is Lancaster’s Elvis Costello-meets-Wilco rockers They Were Only Satellites, who makes its first live appearance in almost a year with a new member and, we’re told, some brand new songs.
The event also features beer tasting from Wyomissing’s new Pierce Brewing Co. from 6 p.m-midnight. A free food buffet is available from 6-7 p.m. as well.
Penny-PA-Looza comes to the Chameleon Club (223 N. Water St., Lancaster) on Saturday, July 26. 6pm doors. $12. 21+. Advance tickets here.
