Fans of the indie pop sounds of fun. – aka the band who created the monster 2013 anthem “We are Young” – can hear the voice of the band when he comes to York next month. Lead singer Nate Ruess performs at the Pullo Center, singing tracks off his debut solo album – the June release Grand Romantic – on September 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Grand Romantic is a ballad-driven ode to the California sounds coming from the Laurel Canyon of the ’60s and ’70s. It features an impressive lineup of collaborators, including guitar work on a bittersweet song “Take it Back,” backing vocals by Lykke Li on “Nothing Without Love” and the harmonies of Beck on the country-inspired “I Guess That’s What This World is Coming To.”

To get a sense of the grandiose sound of the album, take a listen to Reuss’ new single, “AhHa.”

Tickets to the show go on sale Thursday, August 6 at 10 a.m. at the Pollo Center Box Office, by phone at 717-505-8900 at the Pullo Center website. Tickets are $30 each.
