Three picks for what to do in Central PA on Monday, June 29.
1) The Life Aquatic at Zoetropolis (Lancaster)
The Wes Fest continues at Zoetropolis tonight at 7p.m. with Anderson’s 2004 film, “The Life Aquatic.” This zany dramedy details the adventures of documentarian Steve Zissou, his documentary crew, and other assorted characters that join up along the way, attempting to capture on film and kill a jaguar shark that devoured Zissou’s best friend. Needless to say, things don’t exactly go smoothly. As Anderson’s fourth full-length feature film, this one’s a must-see – so why not go check it out this evening? After all, it’s free.
2) Brian Wilson Live at the Mann Center (Philadelphia)
Former Beach Boy Brian Wilson is taking the Mann Center by storm tonight at 7:30p.m. Doors open at 6p.m., and tickets range from $49.50-79.50. Get ’em while you can; they’re going fast. Wilson will be joined onstage by special guest Rodriguez and former bandmates Blondie Chapman and Al Jardine. Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, right?
3) Kansas Bible Company with Limbo Jimbo at Tellus360 (Lancaster)
At 8p.m. tonight, Tellus360 will be hosting a hoedown to remember. Limbo Jimbo’s vocalist, Tuck, just turned 21, so be sure to wish him a happy birthday before they take the stage. Limbo Jimbo is soulful and funky with a blues twist; Kansas Bible Company comes to us all the way from Nashville and takes a little bit from all music genres that can be described as sun-bleached and down to groove. Tickets are $10 plus service fee. Get them now!
