Three picks for what to do in Central PA on Monday, July 27.
1) Wing Night & Trivia at the Hill Top Inn (Ephrata)
Hungry… for knowledge? If so, the Hill Top Inn is the place to be this evening. Trivia night starts at 9:30 p.m. and today’s theme is “Who Said It?” – so brush up on your famous (and infamous) witticisms. As long as you’re going, you might as well get there early. It’s Wing Night from 4-10 p.m., with Coors Lite drafts clocking in at $1.25 as a happy hour special from 4-6 p.m.
2) Karaoke With DJ Brandon at the Glad Crab (York)
There’s nothing like spending a Monday happy hour singing a rousing rendition of “Piano Man,” likely after a few beers. If that’s your jam, then jam to this: the Glad Crab is hosting karaoke with DJ Brandon this evening. If you need a little liquid courage to belt out “I Will Survive” in front of sundry strangers, no worries; mixed drink pitchers and large pitchers of domestic beers are $6 from 10 p.m.-12 a.m.
3) The Grand Budapest Hotel at Zoetropolis (Harrisburg)
All good things must come to an end, and so, too, must Zoetropolis’s Wes Fest wind down. They’re finishing this series off with a free showing of Wes Anderson’s 2014 film The Grand Budapest Hotel. This film, Anderson’s latest, tells the story of Gustave H, a world-class concierge, and Zero Moustafa, his lobby boy sidekick, as they attempt to run a Central European hotel between World Wars,
steal commandeer a famous painting, and clear Gustave’s name after a murder. This one’s a must-see. The show starts at 7 p.m.
