Three picks for what to do in Central PA on Monday, July 6.
1) Say Anything at the Chameleon Club (Lancaster)
Irreverent rockers Say Anything will be playing the Chameleon tonight at 5:30p.m. – but they’re not the only ones. Indie headbangers Modern Baseball, the rockers of Cymbals Eat Guitars, and punk prodigies Hard Girls will also be singing the body electric – or, well, screaming it, really. Admission will run you $18.50-$22.00, which is small potatoes for getting your weekly dose of rawk. Be there.
2) Hot Dog Night and Tröegs Tap Takeover at the Federal Taphouse (Lancaster)
Tonight, enjoy a fantastic selection of hot dogs, a selection of 10 half-price draft beers from 5-7p.m., and a Tröegs tap takeover. Come on, how can you say no to a poutine dog? (Duck fat fries – way better than they sound.) If that’s not your thing, how about a mascarpone dog? (Of course, you could always go just for the beer.)
3) Meatless Mondays at Susquehanna Harvest Seasonal Grill (Harrisburg)
Interested in being a little adventurous – culinarily speaking, that is? Head on down to the Susquehanna Harvest Seasonal Grill tonight. They’re doing Meatless Mondays, and according to them, going meatless just one day a week can have a great impact on both your body and the world you live in. Not convinced by your own altruistic urges? Well, how does quinoa fried tomato salad sound? What about a portabello meatless cheese-steak affair? See for yourself.
