Three picks for what to do in Central PA on Monday, August 3.
1) Karaoke at 551 West (Lancaster)
There’s nothing like a little Cher singalong to shake off the post-weekend blues. (No? Just us? Okay.) Get your sing on at 551 West starting at 9 p.m. tonight. While you’re there, have a draft or three.
2) Acapellus360 at Tellus360 (Lancaster)
If you’re a shower-singing champion, this just might be your shot at fame and glory (sort of). Tonight at 7 p.m., Tellus360 is hosting a three-round a capella singing competition that crushes Pitch Perfect under its heel. The super-short overview? Find at least two friends (three is the minimum number for a team and there’s no cap on number team members), prepare two songs that will get the crowd grooving with you, and be ready for anything – there’s a wild card round and ample room for switching the competition up a little. Winning team will receive some Tellus goodies and the adoration of America (or just the people in the bar at the time, which is just as good.)
3) Poker Night at Johnny Joe’s (Mechanicsburg)
Get your game face on and start practicing your fancy shuffle. Johnny Joe’s Sports Bar & Grill is hosting Poker Night at 8 p.m. this evening. The lone survivor at the end of the tournament gets $40 cash, which will buy you quite a few drinks, depending on what you’re drinking and what your definition of “quite a few” is.
