Three picks for what to do in Central PA on Monday, July 20.
1) Guy Walks Into a Bar Comedy Open Mic Night at the Chameleon (Lancaster)
Need a bit of a laugh to start your week off? Itching to try out that brilliant joke you thought up while you were hungover yesterday? Just want to rant about the state of earth for a few minutes and pretend it’s comedy? Great. Check out the Guy Walks Into a Bar Open Mic Night. There’s no cover, which means you can spend twice as much on beer – domestics are $2 til midnight; imports and micros are $3. Signup starts at 7p.m. and the jokes start flying at around 8p.m.
2) Free Crossfit Class at Hauser Estate Winery (Biglerville)
You’ve probably picked up on the beer and yoga trend that’s picking up speed in Central PA… but you’ve probably never seen a Crossfit session held at a winery. The Hauser Estate Winery (at 410 Cashtown Road) is offering a free Crossfit short workout tonight from 5-7p.m. Go see what the hype is all about. If you hate it, you can always use it for material for the next comedy open mic night. And hey – while you’re there, you might as well have a tasting. It’s only polite.
3) In the Biz Happy Hour at The Cove (York)
Enjoy the service industry happy hour at The Cove from 9p.m.-12a.m. this evening. If you need to drink to forget all those awesome interactions with a less-than-impressed public, The Cove’s got you covered. Captain Morgan and Coronas are $3; appetizers and car bombs (the drink, to be absolutely clear) are $5. Enjoy your evening – or attempt to forget it, your call.
Want more? You don’t have to wait ’til 3 p.m. to check out FLY’s live music, bar entertainment and performing arts calendars.
