Make it a double: Two Lancaster cocktails you need to try

In honor of Fly After 5 becoming a bi-monthly publication, we’re here to bring you twice the Lancaster County fun. That means twice the music, twice the food and twice the arts and culture. Be on the lookout for our first two issues Sept. 1 and Sept. 15.

We’ve had our fair share of cocktails in Lancaster County, and while there’s something for everyone throughout our lovely area, Fly After 5 is crushing hard on these two beauties.

BloodSand3Pour’s Blood and Sand

Who doesn’t want to try cocktails? One of the few mixed drinks that are made with Scotch, the Blood and Sand is a sweet concoction that also contains blood orange juice – hence the “blood” in the name. Learn more about it here, and find it at Pour on Prince Street.

Thistle Finch’s pickle martini

Yes, it comes with tiny pickles, and yes, it’s one of the cocktails you’ve been missing all your life. Next time you’re in town, stop by Thistle Finch Distillery (it’s in the same building as Wacker Brewing Co.) on W Grant Street and get this baby with either gin or vodka, which is made, of course, in-house.

The pickle martini at @thistlefinchdistillery is by far the best drink I’ve had in a while 👌
