In this day and age, a lot of comedy tends to be actually a release of anger that builds up from the indignities of everyday life wrapped in wry humor. No one does this quite the same as Lewis Black, who’s best known for his hysterical rants on everything from airlines to pumpkin spice everything. He describes himself as a “pissed-off optimist” as opposed to a true misanthrope, which adds a refreshing tone to his stand-up. Here, he goes off on a (headphones nonoptional) rant about the sin against nature are restaurant pickles.
If you simply have to experience this catharsis, you have a shot to see Black this evening at the Santander Performing Arts Center. He’s performing there tonight, December 3, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $49.75-$59.75.
