Hate to wake you up from your summer daze, but the calendar’s calling. Labor Day weekend approaches. This is an important time in the social scene. The socially accepted window to wear anything white is rapidly closing. Lumberjacks everywhere are rushing to regrow their facial hair before tree-killing season. Fruit beers will soon rapidly disappear from the shelves.
With the close of summer, though, comes the onslaught of local nightclubs’ summer send-off parties. This evening, Level 2 in Harrisburg is kicking off the weekend festivities a little early. They’re throwing an end-of-summer fiesta to remember. If you’re not confident in your rug-cutting skills, no worries. The doors open at 8 p.m., with a beginner dance lesson at 8:15 p.m. and an intermediate dance lesson at 8:45 p.m. Of course, there’ll be drink specials, so even if you’re still a little insecure about your dance moves, some liquid courage should smooth that right out. The party doesn’t stop til 2 a.m., so, you know, if you haven’t already, you might as well call off work now. (Don’t tell your boss we told you that.)
