Lancaster Transplant to host a Rocky Horror viewing party

Our wonderful pals at Lancaster Transplant know how to throw a party, as evidenced by last month’s Adult Prom. Now, they’ll be giving themselves over to absolute pleasure.

“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is a cultural institution, earning its eternal midnight viewings and unfortunate remakes (thanks Fox). The Transplanters will be bringing it to the Elks Lodge at midnight on Oct. 21. While objects like “loose glitter, super soakers and glass bottles” are strictly verboden, other hallmarks of the classic RHPS viewing experience, like toilet paper and rice, aren’t mentioned by name. Food and a cash bar will be available as well. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, though Lancaster International Short Film Festival pass holders can get in for free. The event is co-sponsored by Buzz, Lancaster Short Film Festival and the Downtown Lancaster Coloring Book. Check out to get on the mailing list and find out more details.

In situations like these, I believe Eddie said it best when he said “Hot patootie, bless my soul, gotta have that rock and roll.”
