There’s no school like the old school… or so they say, anyway.
They’re not always right, of course. Some things are decidedly better new-fangled. Indoor plumbing, for example, was a pretty good move. Wi-fi is kind of cool. Microwave cuisine is – if not always “good” by definition of taste or health of the consumer – at least terribly convenient.
Not everything that’s latest is greatest, though; some things are better done the way they’ve been done since Back Then (whenever “then” was). Brick-oven pizza, for example. Old-time shaved ice. Even – or, rather, especially – music. Tonight at Tellus360, you have the opportunity to enjoy an old-time jam on the second floor. Local musicians Neil Pressley, Jordan Rast and Mark Rast start off the tunes at 7 p.m. Why let them have all the fun, though? Bring your washboard or tote along your harpsichord and join in.
