It's here: Prophets of Rage announce their first show

You’ve waited. You’ve watched. You’ve visited the once-mysterious before it was cool to do so. Now, your patience will be rewarded: Prophets of Rage have announced their first show as a group.

Tonight at 8:30 p.m., they’ll take on the Whisky-a-Go-Go in Los Angeles, playing both Rage Against the Machine classics and songs original to Prophets of Rage. Tickets are only available at the Whisky’s box office, and proceeds from the event will be donated to People Assisting the Homeless. Don’t get teary-eyed because you can’t make it to the West Coast in time – tonight’s show is a sure sign of more to come. Just don’t call the Prophets a supergroup, said Tom Morello today to LA’s rock station KROQ – or, at least, he won’t. He prefers the term “elite task force of revolutionary musicians come together at a historical moment to stir shit up.”

Today, the Sunset Strip. Tomorrow, the world. In the meantime, enough a vintage RATM track.
