Hoist a stein to Oktoberfests

Ah, Oktoberfest – the party that puts the “k” (and the “fest”) into the month of October. We could tell you that, traditionally, Oktoberfest occurs from mid-September to early October, but honestly, who cares? The only thing you need to know is that during these Oktoberfest parties you can definitely drink lots of German beer (and possibly pull on a pair of lederhosen). Prosit!

Head over to Hollywood Casino in Grantville this weekend for an event that’s sure to be a winner. The Hollywood Casino hosts its Oktoberfest Festival on October 3 from 5-7 p.m. The event features more than 35 breweries pouring seasonal beers trackside. Put down a few bucks on the ponies during the thoroughbred racing, lift a few pints during the Sam Adams Stein Hoist contest and enjoy live music by April Skies. Participating breweries include Aldus Brewing Company, Brewery at Hershey, Snitz Creek Brewery, Lancaster Brewing Company, Appalachian Brewing Company and more. Get your tickets here.
