Allegro’s new Strasburg Winery celebrates its grand opening

Strasburg has long been a tourist destination with people flocking to the small historic town to see Amish culture, shop at local produce stands, or to enjoy an ice cream cone at the Strasburg Creamery. Now there is another reason to visit Strasburg. On July 5, Allegro Winery – York County’s largest winery – opened its first Lancaster County location called the Strasburg Winery at 11 West Main Street, next to the the Strasburg Creamery.

This weekend the Strasburg Winery holds a grand opening event featuring free wine tastings and live music The winery carries more than two dozen varieties of Allegro wines, plus four special edition wines that are exclusively available at the Strasburg location, as well as Dutch Slushies – frozen wine drinks served in souvenir Mason jars. On Friday, the winery – open daily from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. – kicks off the weekend long celebration by extending its hours until 9 p.m. with live music starting at 7 p.m.

Here are the labels to our special edition labels for Strasbury Winery. Current releases include: Dutch White, Dutch Red and Dutch Spice. All are available for tasting now.
