Don’t you just miss the pants off the White Stripes?
Pants or no, Jack White has done the world a favor and released a song that didn’t make the cut on the White Stripes’ 2005 “Get Behind Me Satan,” and it’s called “City Lights.”
Folksy and more like White’s current solo work, the song also has a Led Zeppelin feel that doesn’t suck, either.
“City Lights” is one of the tracks on White’s upcoming acoustic album full of unreleased music from his White Stripes days, as well as his time with the Raconteurs and his solo career. It’s creatively called “Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016,” and is out Sept. 9.
