He (finally) did it: Frank Ocean drops visual album

So Frank Ocean has finally dropped a visual album and singlehandedly made iTunes relevant again in one fell swoop about nine hours ago. And you slept right through it, didn’t you?

You can preview “Endless,” a 45 minute visual album, over here. It’s everything you ever hoped for and more, but I don’t have to tell you that. You can get it, obviously, on iTunes. Collaborators on the album include Sampha, James Blake and, most shockingly for Philly music fans, beloved wunderkind Alex G. You can also view it below, if you don’t have iTunes music:

If that one goes down (update: and it appears it has), check out the article and video that RapDose has up.

It appears that the majority of “Endless” was shot in that warehouse he’s been streaming from periodically, which explains a great deal. Off of that same website, Frank Ocean started streaming music off the new album in what was, for us East Coasters, the early hours of the morning. Also, maybe consider staying up for the next 72 hours, because Frank is alluding to more to come over the weekend. After all… he did say on his website that he’s got two versions…
