If you close your eyes, tilt your head back, and breathe deeply, you can catch a faint whiff of fake blood and hear distant screams. No, it’s not from Field of Screams; further afield, in Reading, Reverb is preparing for an invasion.
GWAR is coming.
These shock rock kings and 30-year music industry veterans are taking over Reverb this evening, and they’re bringing friends. Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey will be leading the critically acclaimed Butcher Babies onstage. 100% certified All-American blue collar thrashers Battlecross will be there. And – lest we forget – transcendentally weird PA-based band Gloominous Doom will also be performing. You sort of have to see these guys to believe them – check out “Knuckle Sandwich.”
Tickets are $20, doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. To those about to rock – well… good luck.
