Great American BBQ brings the party

Sundays and August have a lot in common. Both signify the end of something great: the weekend and summer, respectively. But while all good things do come to an end at some point, there’s no reason you can’t send said good things off with a bang…

On Sunday, Heritage Hills Golf Resort (2700 Mt. Rose Ave., York) is saying sayonara to summer in proper fashion with a barbecue and end-of-summer celebration to remember: the Great American BBQ.

For starters, there’ll be a massive barbecue – and we mean massive – offering pig roast, chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, cornbread, coleslaw, and every kind of barbecue-associated salad you could possibly want. Food is served from 4-8 p.m. and is $11 per plate (we recommend you load that sucker up).

Other “great” factors: mini-golf is available all day; fireworks over the golf course at dusk; and Black Rhino laser tag on the golf course from 9-11 p.m.. (Think paintball, but with lasers.) How cool is that?
