Got a thirst for wine? Your quest begins here

There’s something noble about the word “quest.” It calls to mind knights slaying dragons, hobbits destroying evil rings, ancient maps to buried treasure.

This time of year in Central PA, it also calls to mind wine – and plenty of it.

That’s right, it’s time once again for Hershey Harrisburg Wine Country’s Cornucopia Wine Quest. This year’s quest features a whopping 15 wineries, all within a 30-minute radius of Harrisburg. And, as has been the case in previous quests, each stop on the quest offers something fun to do (other than drinking wine, of course). You can paint pumpkins, make caramel apples, go on a hayride and even participate in a scavenger hunt.

You’ll get a special tasting glass, too, which will serve you well throughout the day, as well as providing a nifty souvenir when the quest is done.

Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple. The quest runs both Saturday and Sunday (and repeats again next weekend if you’re too busy doing other awesome things this weekend.) Check out the website for more info.

Needless to say, there’s lots of driving involved in this shindig, so make sure you have someone along who’s willing to stay sober and take the wheel. Or, if you want to roll like a boss and you don’t mind waiting until next weekend, you can pay an extra $60 and get in on a bus tour, courtesy of Premiere #1 Limousine Service.
