You may have noticed, thanks to the sudden springing-up of a thousand Halloween aisles in stores that have never had them before (and our decidedly parade-heavy picks for The Six), that it is in fact finally October. That means all things creepy, spooky, and spectacularly scary have now inched into the foreground.
If you want all that and a side of beer, check out HIVE Artspace tonight. They’re kicking off their Spooky Art Show, a celebration of all things in the Halloween spirit. The opening reception runs from 6-9 p.m. this evening, October 2. There’ll also be some beer sampling (Crabbies, New Belgium, Great Lakes, & Deschutes, courtesy of The Beer Ace), tarot reading, and Halloween crafts going on, so there’s a little something for everyone.
