First Friday in downtown Lancaster
It’s a bit soggy out, but that shouldn’t weaken your resolve to make the most of this otherwise warmer weather and celebrate the first First Friday of Spring. Here’s a list of exhibits and activities going on tonight. We’ve got our eyes on Second Hand Suits playing at Annie Bailey’s (10pm); Annex 24’s debut of the hu-MAN UP exhibit (11am); Sunshine Art+Design’s debut of the Ophelia exhibit (6pm); and DECA’s “Ashes: A Post Apocalyptic Art Show” featuring disparate futuristic artwork (6pm). But don’t take our word for it; make your own artistic path!
Strand Capitol’s First Friday Film: A Clockwork Orange (York)
Care for some in-and-out and a bit of the old ultraviolence? The Strand Capitol Capitol First Friday film is A Clockwork Orange – Stanley Kubrick’s 1971 masterpiece about Alex DeLarge and his brutal band of “droogs” that roam the streets in a futuristic dystopian Britain looking for kicks in the form of sex and violence. Get there early and check out an organist playing The Might Wurlitzer pipe organ from 8:30-9 p.m. courtesy of the Susquehanna Valley Theatre Organ Society. The film starts at 9 p.m. and tickets are $7. Purchase tickets here.
