Three picks for what to do in Central PA on Friday, July 10.
1) Facelift at Annie Bailey’s (Lancaster)
Hard rock cover band Facelift is bringing the beats to Annie Bailey’s tonight from 10p.m.-1a.m. Look for them to be covering hits from bands like Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, The Black Keys, and beyond. Be sure to check out the drink deals while you’re there: Jack & Cokes are $3 from 9-11p.m., and dessert and specialty cocktails are $2 off. No better way to kick off a weekend, right?
2) Smokin Gunnz and more at Gettysburg Bike Week (Gettysburg)
The Gettysburg Bike Week is kicking into high gear tonight. At 4:30p.m., hard rockers the Great Train Robbery will take the stage; at6p.m., the Smokin Gunnz will play; the Outlaws will start their set at 8p.m.; and things will wrap up with a wild afterparty at the SS Vape Stage (where all these bands play) with all kinds of festivities, including music by wild riders Joyride and, if weather allows, a bonfire. One-day pass tickets are $15, and you can only grab ’em at the gates of the Granite Hill camping resort and the AllStar Complex.
3) I YAHN I ARKESTRA at the Herr Street Stage (Harrisburg)
Catch socially conscious rasta reggae band I YAHN I ARKESTRA at the Herr Street Stagetonight. IYIA have been regulars on the reggae circuit since their conception; tonight, you’ve got the chance to catch them live and in person. Thoroughly fresh Tubafresh will also be playing, bringing their unique sound to the stage as well. Doors open at 7p.m., and tickets are $5-8 with processing fee.
Note: the cool-as-hell Hops ‘n’ Clocks event at the National Watch & Clock Museum in Columbia is sold out. Congrats to those who got tickets – to those who didn’t… well, maybe next year.
