Foodstruck introduces Treasure Island Beer Garden

The dust hadn’t settled behind all of the food trucks leaving York back in April when a second Foodstruck was already announced for August 31. The debut event had summoned huge crowds eager to get their fill of quick bites – from snacks to sandwiches to desserts – from a fleet of food trucks that would rival the number of RVs barreling through the desert in that scene from Independence Day. (We digress…)

The Foodstruck redux is fast approaching, and its organizers are sweetening the deal this time around with a new location at Penn Park (described on the website as “8.5 times as much space” as the first event), 50+ participating trucks, live music and the Robert Louis Stevenson-themed all-new Treasure Island Beer Garden – 18 beers and ciders for the samplin’ from local breweries like Liquid Hero, Tröegs, Stoudts and Wynridge Cidery, as well as Dogfish Head, Deschutes, Starr Hill, Ithaca and Yards.

A token system is being used for the beer sampling – $5 gets you five tokens, one token gets you a three-ounce pour, or four tokens gets you a 12-ounce pour. Order your tokens by August 10 to get 12 tokens and a limited edition event pint glass for $12.
