If you happen to be in Downtown York this First Friday, December 4, try not to be too dazzled by the lights.
This Friday’s theme is “Light Up Night” – and the city downtown area will be lit up like one giant holiday display. First Friday in general runs from 5-9 p.m., but some individual events may start earlier or end later. Highlights include the city Christmas tree lighting at 6:15 p.m., the Winterfest Craft Fair in Cherry Lane Park (where you can pick up your own Christmas tree, if you are in need of one and so inclined), and the opening reception of “Artful Giving” at HIVE Artspace. Oh, and if you’re wandering around and need to get from point A to point Z, see if you can’t catch a ride from the official city elves.
