A decade ago, a little film called “Showgirls” was released, telling the wild tale of one Nomi Malone, who claws her way from a seedy strip club to her dream job as the headlining showgirl for one of Las Vegas’s finest venues in the Stardust Hotel. (It’s the same film that essentially blacklisted its star, Elizabeth Berkley, because it was so racy.) But does Nomi lose everything else in the process? Here’s the trailer (be warned: it’s a little fast and furious.)
This evening, November 13, at 9:30 p.m., comedy troupe Down in Front! will be taking on this film at Midtown Cinema, in the way that only they can. Tickets are $5.
