"Down In Front!" Discovers The True Meaning of Christmas

Our friends at “Down In Front! in Harrisburg will be doing their last presentation of the year tonight, and it is a doozy.

Tonight’s feature is the 1964 holiday classic (at least in my house) “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.” The film’s plot is a tale as old as time: Martian children are sad around Christmastime, so their parents decide to kidnap Santa Claus to bring Mars joy. “But wait,” you’re thinking, “when does Santa Claus actually conquer the Martians?” Spoiler alert: He doesn’t, ya goof! To see the film and be a part of the action, come out tonight, December 11th, to the Midtown Cinema at 9:45 p.m. Tickets are $5.
