Don Cheadle disappears into role in first Miles Ahead trailer

Since musical biopics have been Hollywood moneymakers for years, it’s only right that Miles Davis finally gets his turn. As one of, if not the best trumpeters and bandleaders in music history, Davis’ 50-year career was always going to be hard to translate to film. Judging by the first trailer, though, Don Cheadle gives it his all to paint Davis as simultaneously brilliant and completely off his gourd. Even just in┬áthe trailer, there are probably more shootouts than Ray and Walk the Line combined. Miles Ahead is slated for release on April 1. Check out the trailer and some choice cuts below.

Kevin Stairiker is a features writer for Fly. He is a graduate of Temple University and enjoys writing in third person. When he isn't writing, he's probably playing guitar for a litany of bands, reading comics or providing well-needed muscle at The Double Deuce.
