Dirty Birds

Do you know the recipe to make the greatest home-cooked country music that has ever been made? Birdcloud does. It’s two twenty-something Tennessee girls, one mandolin, one acoustic guitar and gallons of moonshine, vodka and piss-cheap beer.

Birdcloud – the Nashville-based punk-country duo of Jasmin Kaset and Makenzie Green – is like Dean and Gene Ween without the weens. Their irreverent humor and total disregard for today’s hypersensitive politically correct speech is a refreshing burst of sweet harmony and girl-on-girl tongue kissing.

Check out a few of their videos below, but beware Birdcloud’s approach to country music is NSFW, in fact it’s not always safe for bars and nightclubs.

Birdcloud (with a full band!) and High Heels (Mike Madrigale of Mr. Suit Records and Steve Boogie Woogie) perform at The Makespace in Harrisburg at 7 p.m. on April 7.
