31 Days of Decks in Central PA
While a devotion to both culinary and visual arts is at the figurative heart of the recently opened The Millworks in Midtown Harrisburg, the physical heart of the historic building is claimed by an open-air biergarten.
The completely uncovered courtyard can accommodate upwards of 50 people, and now that the weather has turned a bit more temperate, you’re more than likely to see that capacity reached on any given night with diners and drinkers alike. And why not? The tucked-away locale boasts views of virtually all The Millworks has to offer – the restaurant, art galleries and studios are all on display as you relax with a cold craft brew, specialty cocktail or glass of wine in hand.
If you are looking for a bite to eat, The Millworks’ full food menu is available while dining in the Biergarten. Seating outside is offered during the same hours as the restaurant (weather permitting, of course).
But true to its name, the Biergarten is an ideal spot for relaxing with a craft brew (or cider, or cocktail, or…) – The Millworks’ bar champions the cause for regional and PA-based drinks, with 20 Pennsylvania beers and ciders on tap, a wine list including both local and international varietals and an artisan cocktail menu featuring both original and barrel-aged cocktails made with PA spirits.
