Day 28: The Roadhouse Cafe in Harrisburg

31 Days of Decks in Central PA

Day 28

It’s been a little over a year since owners Jimmy and Nikki Mokas opened The Roadhouse Cafe Bar & Grill, a brand-new take on what was Rod’s Roadhouse Cafe. Steeped in ’50s regalia, the barroom offers a casual atmosphere for drinks, dining and more.

What more, you might ask? Well, there’s the outdoor patio, completely uncovered (aside from the table umbrellas) to allow for maximum big sky exposure. With seating for 50, the Roadhouse patio is a primo spot for summertime dinner and drinks – the restaurant’s full menu and cocktail service is available for outside dining (we recommend the personal pizzas!) – as well as a great place to enjoy occasional DJ entertainment and live music.

Smoking is permitted outside, too. But just be kind to those dining around you, eh?

Follow Fly’s 31 Days of Decks all month long for info on where and what to eat and drink outside in Central PA.
